Just a quick message to say to keep this Friday, the 9th of October free for another AASOC Film Night!
Time and place are still to be confirmed (or at least told to me by Ray), but we will be showing:
Cowboy Bebop the Movie: Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door
As the Cowboy Bebop crew travels the stars, they learn of the largest bounty yet, a huge 300 million oolongs. Apparently, someone is wielding a hugely powerful chemical weapon, and of course the authorities are at a loss to stop it. The war to take down the most dangerous criminal yet forces the crew to face a true madman, with bare hope to succeed.
Eureka Seven the Movie: Pocket Full of Rainbows
Renton, son of scientists, and Eureka, a girl who can’t live under the sun, are raised together when very young and become very attached to each other. One day, Eureka is taken away. Powerless at the time, Renton vows to rescue her. He enters the military and is soon assigned to the Independent Youths Unit 303 of the First Mobile Forces thanks to his exceptional performance alongside his Nirvash, a bio-mechanical armor/control system. Unknown to Renton, lies a plot to extinguish the alien invasion that is currently happening. It involves not only him, but Eureka too.
Plot Synopsis for both will be added when I find someone that’s seen pocket full of rainbows shamelessly stolen from Ray’s e-mail. Entry, as said in the last post, will be £1 for non-members from Edinburgh Uni, £2 for non-members from elsewhere, and free for members. If you’ve not joined yet, do so! £3 for edinburgh uni staff or students, £6 for others. Also, for those of you yet to recieve your membership cards, I believe there’s still a few with others on the committee, so ask on a series night and you’ll recieve it, and the delicious 10% bonsai discount it attains.
That’s all for now,
