What: Our annual event – a whole day of anime, gaming, events and prizes!
When: Saturday 17th March, noon until around midnight.
Where: Pleasance: Regestration, library and anime showings in the Cabaret Bar from noon; Cairngorm Room for events, open for drawing area from noon; Games room in the basement.

As of last week, we’ve finished Umineko no Naku Koro Ni. Now we’re replacing it with not one but two new anime: Toshokan Sensō (Library Wars) and Un-Go. Thus, the new line up looks like this:

However, due to technical difficulties, two episodes of Toshokan Sensō/Library Wars were shown; to compensate, two episodes of Un-Go will be shown next week, before hopefully returning to the above schedule.
This week (31/01/12), technical difficulties prevented us from showing Paranoia Agent; instead, two episodes of Puella Magi Madoka Magika were shown. As a result, next week we will be showing two episodes of Paranoia Agent. Puella Magi Madoka Magika will be shown again on 14/02/12.
Also as a reminder, we will finish Umineko no Naku Koro Ni on 07/02/12; subsequent to this, Paranoia Agent will take over the double slot, and a new anime will be shown first.
The holidays are are, unfortunately, over; hope you all had a good time, and that getting back to routine hasn’t been too painful.
On the brighter side, AASoc is back. We’ve got three new shows, along with the continuation of three series from last semester. The interesting logistical challenge there* we’re getting around by starting one of the new shows on February 14th; we’ll finish off the last arc of Umineko no Naku Koro Ni by February 7th; after that, Paranoia Agent will move into the double slot at the end and our mystery show will take its former 18.05 slot.

*I’d make a time-travel joke here, considering we’re still showing Steins;Gate, but, let’s face it – I’m sure you can do it better than I could.
That’s us at the end of our first semester, unfortunately. AASoc will return in 2012, resolving the cliffhangers of Tiger & Bunny and Steins;Gate, returning to the final arc of Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, and bringing you some shiny new shows (just don’t ask us what they are)!
We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2012 – we start up again on January 17th. In the mean time, you can keep in touch via the facebook group. If there’s anything you’d like out of the library, feel free to get in touch with our Librarian there to arrange it.

As of next week, we’ll be showing double episodes of our other shows in place of Umineko no Naku Koro Ni. This is just so we don’t leave off anything in the middle of a plot arc or leave any series unfinished.
